The company was founded by Miguel and Javier Diaz, brothers from
Malaga, Spain. After relocating to Singapore they became
franchisees of a frozen yogurt company, Llao llao, and began
opening stores around Asia starting in ***4. They opened more than
**0 stores in several countries in Asia, becoming the largest
franchisee of this brand in the world. After a few years of being
franchisees, they decided they wanted to start their own ice cream
company, which led to the founding of Yol in ***8. They
developed a formula for their soft-serve frozen yogurt and ice
cream initially having added sugar, opening Yols first retail store
in ***8. After a few months of developing their formulas further,
they created a soft-serve ice cream and frozen yogurt without added
sugar, releasing it in ***9. They have also developed tubs and ice
cream bars that are sold in supermarkets.
Yol specializes in soft-serve ice cream and frozen yogurt without
added sugar. Their dairy bases offer traditional flavours, as well
as limited edition flavours like cheesecake, chocolate, matcha, and
chocolate hazelnut. In ***2, they released a range of plant-based
ice creams made with oat milk. Other than these bases, they have
products like boba, bubble tea, frappe, twist, Ibiza, ice cream
bars, cones, tubs and bubble waffle.
