An alloy of iron that contains 2 to 4 percent carbon, along with varying amounts of silicon and manganese and traces of impurities such as sulfur and phosphorus. It is made by reducing iron ore in a blast furnace.

The pieces of Cast Iron Scrap can be separated into following sizes: *****0 mm, ******0 mm, *******0 mm and ***0 mm and larger.

It is used as a raw material (scrap analogue) for the smelting of iron and steel for steel production. The advantage of the product is that it can be broken into smaller pieces.
