The coco peat can be used as soil amendment to improve the water retention and to improve the texture of soil to suit the growing requirement. The coco peat can be used as a ready to grow organic grow bags, which is widely used in France , Spain and USA, by farmers in growing tomatoes, eggplants and strawberries. The coco cut husk is used as mulch to avoid weed growth and to improve the areation in the root zone. The coco peat has very low decomposition rate and retains 5 to 6 times water to its weight.
