Closed bags are designed to be used once, they are often used for patients who have undergone a Colostomy. The bag is closed off at the bottom and will need to be removed to be emptied. Closed bags can be used as either a One piece (Assura Inspire Dual Filter), where the adhesive is permanently attached to the bag, and you will remove both each time the bag is changed or a two piece, where the adhesive and the bag are attached either by a lock ring (Assura Inspire 2 Piece) or adhesive coupling (Easiflex). 1 piece closed bag with Dual filters is the only closed bag with two filters. The new appliance will meet the needs of a large number of colostomists suffering from ballooning of the ostomy bag. All the well-known features from vitaimed Inspire, such as adhesive, design soft fronting and anatomical design are still available, but the new Dual filter appliance comes with two slimline versions of the familiar vitaimed Inspire filter. This doubles the air flow and gives the colostomists the following benefits: There is a double airflow through the filters, making ballooning less frequent It is easier and quicker to press air out of the bag when ballooning The risk of blocking the filter is reduced Gives the opportunity to control the air flow by using filter label
