Jet A*1 is a kerosene-based aviation fuel used mainly in commercial jet aircraft, turboprop airplanes, and some military aircraft. It is the most widely used jet fuel outside the United States and is specially designed for gas-turbine engines. Main Characteristics of Jet A*1

    Composition

  Jet A*1 is made from refined crude oil through fractional distillation. It mainly contains hydrocarbons with carbon chains typically between C8 and C*6. Small amounts of additives may be included to improve:

• Anti-icing performance
• Corrosion protection
• Static electricity control
• Oxidation stability
