Lenses have many applications ranging from the simple collection of the scanning of laser beams to precise imaging and image transfer. Lasertec provide these lenses made from CaF2, BK7, Sapphire, Silicon, UVFS, etc for different application. Plano-Convex is best used where one conjugate point (object distance S or image distance S**9;) is more than five times the other. it shape is near best-form for either focusing collimated light or for collimating a point source. Plano-Concave has a negative focal length and is typically used to cause a collimated beam to diverge as in a Galilean type beam expander or Telescope. Because the spherical aberration of the Plano-Concave is negative, it can be used to balance the aberration of other lenses. BK7 Plano-Concave Cylindrical Plano-concave cylindrical provide uni-axial negative imaging for anamorphic beam expansion and a wide range of applications. These lenses are manufactured from BK7 grade A optical glass and are supplied uncoated. Anti-reflection coatings are available as listed earlier in this section. To order an anti-reflection coated lens simply append the wavelength in nanometers to the product number. They may also be used as mirror blanks if a concave cylindrical surface mirror is required.
