Use with the following base materials:Solid Concrete Applications:Heavy-duty. Features of Concrete Wedge Anchors: Standard zinc plated Hot-dipped galvanized for excellent rust resistance Stainless steel for superior rust resistance Also known as: Stud anchor Kwik-bolt Thunderstud ® DFS wedge anchor Kwik bolt 2 anchor Sup-r-stud Redi bolt Hilti kwik bolt Concrete stud anchor Wedge all Kwik bolt Stud wedge anchor Kingpin Power bolt Stud anchor system Trubolt Power stud Installation Instructions The installation of wedge anchors can be completed in the five steps outlined below. Thunderstud anchors perform best when used in heavy duty, solid concrete applications. For safety purposes, when installing concrete fasteners, it is important to use the correct carbide bit to ensure proper setting. To determine the correct wedge anchor length for the job, add material thickness and minimum embedment. Step by Step Anchor Installation Instructions follow: 1. Drill hole deeper than wedge anchor embedment using a carbide tipped bit. (Hole size is wedge anchor size). 2. Clean out hole. 3. Place nut on the end of wedge anchor (protects threads during installation). 4. Hammer wedge anchor into hole deep enough so that threads are below surface of base material. 5. Tighten nut turning approximately three or four full turns.
