reagent. In the chemical industry, it is used to manufacture
polyethylene terephthalate, which is a major part of the beverage
bottles. Acetic acid is also used to produce the required film
cellulose acetate, and wood adhesives used in the poly vinyl
acetate, as well as many synthetic fibers and fabrics. In the
family, dilute solution of acetic acid is often used as
detergents.
