The injection packer is a tool for sealing works. It is
tightly fixed in the drill hole of the building component and
connects the injection device with the building component.
Under pressure the sealing material is injected into the damaged
building component. Packers are made of different materials such as
steel or plastic and various types of packers are available such as
drive-in packers or adhesive packers etc.
There is a wide application range for injection packers:
injection into dry and wet/humid building components, filling of
hollows, high pressure injection up to about **0 bar in
concrete structures, crack injection (frictional connection of
cracked building components), sealing of structures, elastic
connection of crack flanks (varying crack widths), sealing of
expansion joints.
The most important demands on injection packers are:
compatibility of material and injection material as well as
absolutely reliable fixing in the building component.
