Cinnamon Cinnamon, the "Immortal Spice" takes pride of place among the range of products at Flavorland Fruitexport International Produced from the inner bark of the tropical ever green "Cinnamomum zeylanicum" cinnamon is available in Continental, Mexican and Hamburg grades. The Continental grades go from the very fine C5 special to C5 and C4; Mexican comes in M5 and M4 and the thicker Hamburg grades in H1 and H2. Standard quills cut into lengths determined by buyer specification are packed in polythene and exported in *5 or *0 kg cartons. Quillings which are made up of broken peices of quills are produced in grades of No. 1, FAQ and Super Fine and packed in polysacs. The latest in the range of cinnamon products is the cinnamon powder produced under strict hygenic conditions and available in both consumer and bulk packaging. The other key products are chips and essential oils both leaf and bark which are **0% natural and unadulterated. DEFINITIONS: QUILLS: Scraped peel of the inner bark of mature cinnamon shoots joined together by overlaps & the hollow of which has been filled with small pieces of the same peel & thereafter dried first in the sun and then in the shade for curling. CUTS: Quills cut in difference sizes. Example; 8 cm or *8 cm etc. as required / requested by buyer. QUILLINGS: Broken pieces below **0 mm in length and splits of varying sizes of all grades of cinnamon quills. CHIPS: Dried un-peelable bark of plantation cinnamon shoots inclusive of the outer bark which has been obtained by heating or scraping the shoots. FOXING: The occurrence of reddish brown patches on the surface of quills which may become brown with time. BALE: A package of any one particular grade of quills wrapped with suitable material for export. GRADES: �Fine Grades : Alba, C5 Extra Special, C5 Special, C5, C4, M5, M4 �Hamburg Grades : H1, H2, H3 �Other Grades : Quillings, Chips, Powder, etc., COLOR: Yellowish Brown MOISTURE CONTENT: The moisture content of cinnamon quills of all grades, when tested shall not be more than *2% to *6% as per SLSI. PACKING: BALES: Height of approx. 4 feet, weighing **0 lbs, packed with inner poly liner, which is then covered with jute hessan gunnies. CUTS: Lengths according to buyers specification from 2 cm to *8 cm. Packed in 1 kg poly bags and then inserted into corrugated cartons. Each carton weigh *0 Kgs. QUILLINGS: *5 or *0 Kgs packed in poly sack bags. POWDER: *0 Kgs packed in inner poly liner and then inserted into sack bags.
