In collaboration with a leading company in the sector, BOSSO has created a system for sorting and repairing used pallets that satisfies the primary needs of the operators: reducing the manpower employed and repair times that can be controlled in detail. In its standard configuration, the system comprises an infeed roller unit for the stacks of pallets to be sorted, five manual repair benches, and three outfeed roller units for the stacks of finished pallets. The cornerstone of the system is an anthropomorphic robot with sixcontrolled axes, mounted on a motorised quide on the floor, which transfers the pallets from one station to another, thus freeing the operators to perform only the repair work. The system is designed to accept all types of commercial pallets, with parallet or crossed infeed stacking. It is not necessary for the operators to carry out any programming of the robot: the commands are given using the dedicated keyboards. BOSSO can supply the system at various levels of configuration: from the simple supply of the robot up to a complete turn-key system including consulting for the best way to start up the activity.
