Physical and Chemical Properties: white fine powder, soapy, flammable, non-toxic, specific gravity of 1.**5, melting point≥**8°C,insoluble in water,alcohol, but soluble in hot organic solvent and acid. It converts to jelly when heating in organic solvent and decompounds into stearate and zinc when meeting strong acid.
