The equipment controlling stage is mainly in charge of mechanical actions of each machine as well as interlock control. The major function of the supervision stage is to coordinate with the equipment controlling stage in order to make up for the demerits of the man-machine interface. Through such personalized man-machine interface, operator can see information on the screen of the monitor in forms of flow chart, trend diagram, instrument & gauge simulation and signal display etc. Operator can easily get informed of the current working status via imputing a few instructions, meanwhile, faults information and alarms status will be displayed on the screen at the moment such unexpected faults happen. Another function of the supervision stage is to keep a record of system data and alarm status and to store such information in database file. After prompt analysis of such data, the supervision stage will then feed results back to the equipment controlling stage for operator's consequent decision.
