Chemical Property: Melamine was slightly alkaline and can
react with a variety of acid and create melamine salt. In strong
acid and strong alkaline, melamine was hydrolysis, hydroxyl amine

Application:
Melamine is a widely used organic chemical intermediate
product with a uniform structure. The main usage is as the raw
material in the production of melamine-formaldehyde resin(MF).The
resin is the thermosetting resin, it has a property of flame
retardant, water resistant, heat resistance, aging resistance,
chemical resistance, good insulation. Also has good insulation
properties, gloss and mechanical strength. Widely used in wood,
plastic, paint, paper, textiles, leather, electrical,
pharmaceutical and other industries.
1. Decorative
panels: Melamine can be made of laminates material and housing
decorative materials with heat-resistant, fireproof, quakeproof;
Melamine can be made of decorative board for aircraft, ships and
furniture;
2. Paint:
Melamine is used as a cross-linking agent in acrylic paints, alkyd
paints and epoxy pains. With alcohol, alcohol ether, it can be used
as a cross-linking agent in thermosetting paints and powder paint.
Melamine can be used in manufacturing metal paints and high grade
amino decorative paints which is used in vehicles, appliances and
furniture. This kind of paints has bright color, strong adhesion,
high hardness, anti-aging and corrosion resistance.
3. Molding
powder: After mixing or granulation processes, melamine can be made
of melamine plastic with non-toxic, dirt-resistance. And the
electrical property is still very well when put in moisture place.
It can be made of white, broken-resistance household utensils,
health ware and tableware and advanced insulated electrical
equipment.
4. Paper:
After etherification with ethyl ether, it can be used as
paper-handling agents, manufacturing anti-shrinkage, moisture
resistance, anti-rot money and military maps and other high quality
paper.
Melamine-formaldehyde resin mixed with other materials, can
also produce fabric finishing agents, leather tanning run agents,
polishing agents and water-resistance agents, high cement super
plasticizer agent(naphthalene as raw materials), steel nitriding
agents.
Principle of combustion: Nitrogen in melamine will be released
when meet the high temperature. That’s why melamine can be as a
flame retardant in polyurethane foam.
Compared with urea formaldehyde glue, melamine glue has
property strong adhesion, better water-resistance and heat
resistance.
Compared with PF glue, melamine glue has property of fast
curing speed, non-toxic, transparent and so on.
