PowerMeter Gateway is a energy monitoring tool that helps you save
energy and money. Using energy information provided by utility
smart meters and energy monitoring devices, PowerMeter enables you
to view your energy consumption from anywhere online.
PowerMeter Gateway (PMG**1) is an hardware adapter, which can read
the energy reading from the different energy meters and upload the
information to PowerMeter tool. Using PMG**1 any energy meter can
be brought out online without much hassles. Energy meters can be
hooked up with PMG**1 through RS**5 port or through digital pulses
emanating from the energy meters. PMG**1 can be hooked to the
internet via the Ethernet port and through the local internet proxy
servers.
