How does proppant work?
In the fracturing process, the ceramic proppants are mixed with a highly viscous fluid to form slurry. Then the slurry is pumed into stratum at a very high pressure which can crush hydrocarbon-bearing rock to create fracture. After flowback, proppants are left in the stratum through which oil and gas reserves can flow more easily, thus increasing production rate and service life.
