Properties: Ammonium Sulphate has PH value is 5.5 in 0.1M solution. Density 1.**9 g/cm3 (*0°C). Ammonium Sulphate is hygroscopic; soluble in water; insoluble in acetone, alcohol and ether. Main active ingredients are *1% nitrogen and *4% sulfur, so it can be described as NPK *****0 *4S. Generally, it is a by-product from chemical (cyanuric acid, capro, acrylonitrile, sodium cyanide, monosodium glutamate-MSG, methyl methacrylate-MMA, etc.) or steel plant. Steel Grade (also call Coke-ovens Grade) is fine white powder. After processing it can be white granular or flake. Caprolactam Grade is colorless (achromatic) crystalline or yellowish crystals.
