The *0oz lightweight 'stretch' (cotton-elastane mix) denim fabric
of this garment actually starts off a brilliant blue.
After an initial stone washing to soften and age the denim, it is
then exposed during the washing process to a mix of black and brown
pigments. A resin coating applied before the washing makes the
pigments stain the garment in an uneven and random way, and fixes
the color, to ensure a long-lasting dirty effect.
