1. Application Range:  Surface decoration for glazed tile.

2. Function Principle:

Luster is a kind of white-powder organic metallic compound. It is printed on the glaze by means of silk screen printing. The organic compound will break down and burn up after being dried and burnt, leaving metallic membrane (about 0.1um thick). Luster will give metallic effect after being fired, which can improve the decoration effect of the ceramics.

3. Usage Method: 

3.1 The modulation of printing glaze: luster: general printing medium = **0: ****5. It would be better if they are grinded. The printing medium that can make printing glair have good fluidity, keep wet and not easy to deposit or delaminate is considered to be suitable.

3.2 Luster printing or spraying: Luster is mostly printed on the glazed surface of the tile body through silk screen.

3.3 Firing temperature: Y***7 (1**0℃-***0℃), Y***8(*0*0℃****0℃)

4. Notice:

4.1 For luster printing, the surface must be clean and dry without any dust or oil. Particles from other colors must be removed away.

4.2 If the water usage before spraying engobe and of the prepared printing medium is too much, it will indirectly affect the brightness of the luster. Therefore, if the predrying time before loading the tiles into kiln or in the prefiring area of kiln can be longer, it is good for keeping the stableness of the shinning effect.

4.3 In the moderate or complete oxidated atmosphere of kiln, luster can give a good effect. Otherwise, in the deoxidization atmosphere of kiln, the shinning effect of luster will reduce or even disappear. 

4.4 Shouldn’t add unnecessary finished glaze or frit into the printing glaze; otherwise, the shinning effect of luster will reduce or even disappear.
