Farmers Own
Compost is designed to improve the health of the soil to
reduce reliance on synthetic acid fertilisers that are becoming
in-efficient and expensive. The product provides the soil with a
wealth of benefits including restoration of diverse biology that in
turn supplies plants with essential nutrients and trace
elements.
Other benefits
include: rich in carbon (humus), improved water retention, improved
soil structure, improved natural aeration of the soil, improved
plant root development and growth, promotes earthworm activity,
boost dissolved sugars in plants, reduces weeds insects and
diseases, serves as a buffer in the soil to limit further damage
from harmful chemicals or inorganic fertilisers. The product is
also odourless, hence containing minimal plant or human
pathogens.

Compost is manufactured and tested according to Australian Standard
AS********2. Compost, Soil Conditions and Mulches. We also initiate
stringent quality assurance guidelines to ensure product
satisfaction is met every time. The composting process ensures
temperatures reach *0 Degrees Celsius at least 3 times to ensure
weed seeds and pathogenic organisms are controlled to encourage
beneficial biological growth. The aerobic composting process allows
organic materials, in the right ratios, to decompose in the ideal
environment that results in an aerobic, stable organic material for
a range of applications as outlined above.

Compost is available in bulk (loose), or “retail ready” in
individual convenient bags ranging from *0 Litres to *0
Litres.
Broadacre
application can be made by conventional belt spreaders to top-dress
the soil, whilst in gardens the product can be applied manually
provided adequate safety measures, such as rubber gloves, are
utilised as the product contains billions of micro-organisms that
can affect human health if consumed or inhaled. Always refer to
“directions of use” prior to application and ensure all safety
measures are adhered to.
