The term refinery grade propylene (RGP) is also known as “propylene Rich Feed” which is a by-product of petroleum. It is basically a mixture of propylene and propane both are separated for use. The purity specification content is *0 – *5% and it is colourless and odorless. Propylene is sold in three separate quality grades – Refinery (*0 – *5%) chemical ****6% and polymer grade *9.5%. We sell only refinery grade. It is used mainly to produce polypropylene plastics, injection moulding and fiber and for manufacturing cumene. It is also used to make propylene oxide, acrylic acid, oxo alcohols and isopropanol etc.
