Tips: There are three categories of sharpening stones for **3 sharpening steps: 
1. Coarse stones for initial sharpening, (oil stones)
2. medium stones for removal of the scratches left by the coarse stone (***0# over oil stones) and
3. finish (polishing) stones for final polishing to a razor edge.  (natural waterstones)
