Medium temperature applications include swaging, forming and gripper dies, also punching, piercing and trimming dies. Other applications include shear blades working at medium temperature including flying shear blades
Heat Treatment: Forge: at ********0°C and forge with light rapid blows. Reheat when temperature falls below **0°C if further work remains to be done. After forging, cool slowly, preferably in a furnace. Annealing: at**0?***0? Cool slowly in furnace Stress Relieving: Heat slowly to **0? and allow to cool in the air. Hardening: Preheat at **0? followed by rapid increase of temperature to ******0?. Quench in oil, tempering is always recommended after hardening.
