Yes, they can use seperately without battling function,just like simple RC Helicopter.
What happens when one helicopter hits the other with the laser.
When one helicopter hits the other helicopter, the 1st time, the one being hit will make a left turn;
The 2nd time, the one being hit will make a right turn; The 3rd time, the helicopter will fall down.
Also what happens if there is a fault with one of the helicopter
If one helicopter is broken, the other still can play as a simple function of RC HELICOPTER.
