3. Application:
Widely used in strip leveling process of metallurgical industry,
such as cut to length, slitting, picking, galvanizing, color
coating and coiling line, etc, also used in sheet annealing,
leveling and coating line of non-ferrous metal industries.
4. Features:
A. Reliable sealing structure: If back-up roll works in wet
conditions, will be surrounded by plenty of water and oil splash,
so the labyrinth seal and end face seal are adopted, to ensure a
reliable seal performance.
B. Low torque: During work, the back-up roll is drive by work roll
or intermediate roll frictional force, high torque will cause skid
between rolls, so must assure rotating flexible and low torque.
C. Wear-resistant and corrosion-resistant material: Because the
back-up rollers are exposed to the harsh environment of work, water
and oil erodes its surface constantly, we must choose
corrosion-resistant and wear-resistant materials, such as bearing
steel, wear-resistant stainless steel, and with an appropriate heat
treatment process to ensure that the surface hardness.
D. High performance lubricating grease: Inject sufficient
waterproof and long-acting lubricating grease into the back-up
roll, can ensure the back-up roll serve long time without
maintenance.
E. High intensity: The adoption of needle roller bearings save
radial space, increase roll wall thickness, and guarantee roll
intensity.
F. Proper surface transition: Proper circle transition between
back-up roll surface and end face can avoid the roll edge
conquassation by load effect.
High degree of surface finish: Ra value of back-up roll surface can
reach 0.**0.1, low surface roughness can reduce damage to work roll
(or intermediate roll).
G. High revolution precision: The back-up roll is strictly divided
into groups according to the dimension from back-up roll work face
to fitting surface, the roll revolution precision is high, can
reach Grade 6 or 7.
