Deep groove ball bearing is generally made of bearing steel
(9Cr*8), stainless steel (AISI**0C, AISI**4, AISI**6) and ceramics.
It is an important member of ball bearing and the most common used
rolling bearing. The structure is very simple. Furthermore, deep
groove ball bearing usually used for bearing the radial load. It
can be easy to operate and has the performance of angular contact
bearing assembly, while the radial play is increasing. In that
case, it can bear the axial loads and radial loads together.
Besides, in some case, it can be used for standing purely axial
loads. When the size is same, comparer with other bearings, deep
groove ball bearing enjoys smaller coefficient of friction and
higher limits speed. This kind ball bearing can not stand impact,
so it is not suitable for heavy load. Finally, deep groove ball
bearing has higher load rating for their size than shallow-groove,
but is also less tolerant of misalignment of the inner and outer
races. A misaligned shallow-groove bearing may support a larger
load than the same sized deep-groove bearing with similar
misalignment. There are some advantages such as less coefficient of
friction, less vibration and noise, less energy consumption, high
limiting speed, large size range and variations of structure.
Therefore, it is widely used in automobile, tractor, engine bed,
electrical machinery, water pump, agricultural machinery and
fabrics machine etc.
