The Finnish designer Eero Aarnio, born in ***2, studied from ***4
to ***7 at the Institute of Industrial Arts in Helsinki.
He was – and still is – one of the pioneers in using plastic in
furniture design.
In ***3 he designed the first Ball Chair and earned international
reputation.
A few years later the Pastil Chair and Tomato Chair came out and
until today Aarnio loves to work with fibreglass.
