General Info:
Aloe Vera is a succulent, perennial plant with little or no stem,
reaching only two or three feet tall at maturity. Its thick, fleshy
leaves are a dusky green, spotted with white in some varieties. The
leaves are edged with a serration of small whitish "teeth" and are
filled with a translucent gel. In the summertime, clusters of small
yellow or orange flowers are produced on tall spikes from the Aloe
Vera plant. It looks like a member of the cactus family, but it is
actually a desert relative of the lily. It grows well in arid
climates and may be native to the southern half of the Arabian
Peninsula, Northern Africa, the Canary Islands, and Cape Verde.
Succulent Aloe Vera leaves contain just a small amount of solids,
but in these leaves are found a vast array of vitamins, minerals,
and other beneficial ingredients such as enzymes, sugars,
acemannan, anthraquinones, phenolic compounds, lignin, saponins,
sterols, gibberellin, and salycilic acid, in addition to *9 amino
acids, including 8 essential amino acids. Aloe Vera is rich in
vitamin C and germanium. Aloe Vera also improves the absorption and
bio-availability of vitamins B*2, C, and E. All of the ingredients
in Aloe Vera are combined and balanced perfectly in nature to
provide a soothing tonic for the body\'s systems.
