Wireless Vehicle Detector (WVD) is based on magnetometer, short range RF and nano power communication protocol technology. It is installed onto the road surface to collects the data of traffic flow. The data is gathered by Wireless Access Point (WAP), which acts as a wireless gateway between the wireless vehicle detection system and other traffic application systems. All the WVDs, under the management of WAP, establish a local wireless sensor network, which collects traffic information real timely.
Major advantages:
a) Install fast. It is only almost 6 minutes that is needed to install one wireless vehicle detector in the road, after installation, the traffic control could be released immediately;
b) Work all-weather. Bad weather for example heavy fog, snow and rain makes no difference;

How does it work?
By capture the tiny change of magnetism caused by the passing
vehicle, WVDs (Wireless Vehicle Detector) calculate the
vehicle velocity, length, type and occupy rate rapidly, and then
send these information to the WAPs (Wireless Access Points), which
will receive all the on line WVDs’ information and transmit
these data to the user systems through RS***2/**5, Internet,
GPRS, etc..
