Quartz sand, also known as silica, gray or white crystal, while
iron with pale yellow, 2.*0 ~ 2.*6 G/CM3 density does not dissolve
in water and acid (except hydrofluoric acid), and silicon content
is more than *8%, with molten alkali reaction.
Quartz sand purpose: to make glass, refractories, smelting
ferrosilicon, metallurgical flux, ceramic and grinding materials,
casting, acid and acid-resistant cement mortar used in
construction, rubber, plastic filler (can improve the abrasion
resistance), paint filler (can obviously improve the weatherability
of coatings).
