SX**0 is a brushless generator excitation
system regulator board generator regulator board, excitation power

SX**0 is a half-wave phase-controlled thyristor type
Automatic Voltage Regulator (AVR) and forms part of the brushless
excitation system generator in addition to regulating the generator
voltage, AVR sensing circuit including speed and loss of protective
functions. Excitation power is derived directly from the generator
terminals. Positive voltage created from residual levels to ensure
efficient use of semiconductor voltage power circuit. AVR with the
main stator windings and the exciter field windings to provide
closed-loop control of the output voltage and load regulation of +
/ - 1.0%.
Apart from the main stator, AVR voltage is
derived from a sample of the object from the control voltage output
winding. In response to this sample voltage, AVR controls the power
fed to the exciter field, so the main areas to maintain machine
output voltage within the specified limit, compensating for load,
speed, temperature and power factor of the generator.
