 1. General introduction

High-pressure floating pneumatic rubber fender is an anti-clossion device for marine application in the world. It is made of synthetic-cord-reinforced rubber sheet with compressed air inside to enable it to float on the sea surface and work as a shock absorber when ship to ship transfer operation and ship to dock berthing and mooring operations.

 2.  Construction  features

The basic body construction of  Floating pneumatic rubber fender consists of outer rubber layers, synthetic-tire-cord layers and inner layers. Please take the picture for reference.

2.1  Out rubber layer

The outer rubber layer protects the cord layers and the inner rubber layers from abrasion and other external forces. This compaound has sufficient tensile and tear strength to withstand any weather condition and hard uasage.

2.2 Inner layers

The inner layers seals the pressurized air inside the fenders.

2.3 Synthetic-tire-cord layers for reinforcement

2.3.1 Please see below picture to find the difference in arrangement of tyre-cord and canvas fabric.

2.4  Beading Ring

A steel ring is placed at one end(or both two ends) of the fenderand holds the end of core layers.

2.5 Flange   

A steel flange is mounted on the fender, to which an air valve or safety valve can be adapted.

2.6 Safety Valves

Feders of diameter ***0mm and larger shall be enquipped with a safety valve of releasing excess internal pressure whrn fenders are over compressed accidentally. Fender which are smaller than ***0mm in diameter can be also enquipped a safety valve if required by customer.

2.7 Metal acessories

All relevant metal accessories including shackles, towing rings, swivels and chain net are made of stainless steel or hot dipped galvanized which are resistant for sea water corrosion.
