Applications in agriculture
a) Improvement of soil
A common fertilizer (such as urea, potassium fertilizer or
diammonium phosphate with purity of *0%**0%) is liable to make soil
hardening. Potassium humate can improve soil aggregate structure,
reduce compaction, and improve soil fertility activation by
amending soil PH value. Potassium humate can also provide soil with
beneficial microorganisms, and a variety of humic acid, fulvic
acid, humic peptide amino acid, carbohydrate and other organic
substances and trace elements required by different plants.
b) Increase of fertilizer efficiency
Functional humic groups of potassium humate can help absorb and
keep potassium ion by preventing fertilizer losing from sandy soil
or leaching soil. In addition, it can also prevent the viscous soil
from potassium fixation. Fulvic acid and other low molecular weight
humic acid in potassium humate can dissolve the minerals contained
in potassium silicate and potassium feldspar by slowly decomposing
and increasing the release of potassium. The utilization rate is of
*7%**5% higher than ordinary fertilizer .
c) Promote the growth of crops, improve the quality of crops
Potassium humate is an excellent controlled release fertilizer by
slowly releasing nutrients through its modulating function, which
releases nutrients not too much in the early stage nor too less in
the later stage, so that crops can keep steady absorption of
nutrients with the result of increase in both output and quality.
Promote plants roots growth. Improve quality of fruits such as
watermelon, melon, sugar cane and beet, etc.
d) Enhance the resistant ability of crops
Potassium humate can directly affect the cell metabolism of crops,
increase crop respiration, photosynthesis, drought, cold
resistance, and improve the crop ability of disease resistance,
etc.
e) Environmental and ecological fertilizer
Potassium humate takes advantage of inorganic and farm yard
fertilizers, being superior to them and showing a fair ability to
the anti microbial decomposition. The ability of slow-release in
decomposition surpasses all organic solid fertilizer.
Potassium humate can promote the decomposition of man-made
chemicals (such as pesticides) or natural toxic substances. It is
an ideal material base for production of green food to substitute
potassium chloride and potassium sulfate, which is not only
suitable for any crop, but also adaptable to match common
fertilizer. Potassium humate can be applied with any ordinary
fertilizer, being mixed with urea, phosphate fertilizer, potash
fertilizer and trace elements, and becoming a multifunctional high
efficient compound fertilizer.
