This is a sharply tuned whip type
antenna, for use at **3Mhz, for data links, automation control etc.
The antenna has an impedance match network and a noise
suppression filter specifically for enhancing operation at **3Mhz,
and it is tuned, for low SWR, 1.2 or lower, as low as almost
1:1 is possible! Which is very rare to find and hard to
achieve.

I originally designed and tested this
antenna setup because the commercially available whip type antennas
performed very bad, they are supposed to have a *0 ohm impedance
but in fact they are all over the place resulting in SWR as bad as
7! A standing wave ratio (SWR) of 5 or 7 is very bad, and not
only reduces the range of a remote control system, but it can even
damage your transmitter. It\'s like attempting to start a car
uphill, in the 4rth or 5th gear! The transmitter gives a lot of
power, and the poorly designed antenna cannot absorb it and
transmit it out. That\'s why I made these antennas to be able to
have much lower SWR, as low as 1, and to also have a noise
reduction filter, so that only the desired frequency is seen by the
antenna input/output.
These antennas are made one by
one, each one requires different tuning process, and it is also
tested one by one in a remote control system receiver, requiring to
work over 5.5km at the set power level.
This improves reception in noisy, industrial environment, and
enhances the operational range of wireless systems at this
frequency band, as opposed to most cheap antennas.
Cable used is RG *8, cut to specific length prior to the final
tuning and test process.
Coax connector can be SMA, or other.
Antenna length: *4cm
Cable length: custom
SWR: 1.2 or lower
Suitable for use either as a receiving antenna, or even as a high
power transmitting antenna.
