】The product is yellowish to orange-yellow
transparent liquid.
【Pharmacological
action
】
Pharmacodynamics Tilmicosin belongs to
semi-synthetic macrolide antibiotics for animal use only, it has an
antibacterial effect similar to tylosin, and it is effective
against mycoplasmas as well as most gram-positive bacteria.
Tilmicosin has a stronger antimicrobial activity against
Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae, Pasteurella and mycoplasmas than
tylosin. *5% of Pasteurella hemolytica are sensitive to this
product.
Pharmacokinetics
Tilmicosin is absorbed quickly after oral administration, it is
characterized by strong tissues penetrability and large volume of
distribution (>2L/kg). It has a high concentration in lung and a
long duration of therapeutic plasma level, its half-life can be up
to 1~2 days.

interactions

）This product may increase the mortality
of pig when used together with adrenaline.

）Tilmicosin has
the same target with other macrolides and lincosamides, so they are unsuitable to
be used concomitantly.
（3
）An
antagonism is shown between this product and β-lactams.
【Indication
】Used for the treatment of respiratory
disease caused by the infections of Pasteurella and mycoplasma in
chicken.
【Administration and
dosage
】Calculated on
tilmicosin basis. Mix in water: per 1L
water, *0mg for chicken, continue for 3 days.
【Adverse reactions
】（1
）This product mainly has a toxic effect on
the cardiovascular system of animals, it can cause tachycardia and
contractility to decrease.
（2
）Many animals may often have dose
dependent gastrointestinal disorder (such as vomiting, diarrhea,
stomach pain etc.) by oral administration, and this may result from
the stimulative effect on the smooth muscle.

】Do not use in layers during egg producing
period.
