Solubility:Slightly soluble in water ; soluble in ethanol ,ether
and other organic solvents.
Applications
The mordant for coloring and printing .
The intermediates of pharmaceuticals and dyes.
Used to produce plasticizers and spices.
The antirust additive of steel equipment.
Benzoic Acid and its sodium salts can be used as bacteriostat in
emulsion, toothpaste, jam and other foods.
