Commingle material is basically any plastic that comes through our
warehouse that becomes contaminated and cannot be sold as a first
run product. Because we deal in so many different types of
plastics, the material that you are trying to get to could be
nearly any type of thermoplastic. We deal in ABS, PC, Nylon, PP,
PE, PS, PET, Acetal, PMMA, and various other materials. So, if we
have a box of PC, for example, that had an accident with PP, then
it would not go out with the other material, and instead be
reserved for these loads. Perhaps, we might have a box of PMMA
regrind that had some ABS that was mixed in before we bought the
material. It, too, would become part of the commingle load. As you
can see, the load as a whole will be made up of many types of
plastics overall.
