Brass Cage
Spherical roller bearing consists of an outer ring with spherical
raceway and an inner ring with double-raceway, one or two cages,
and one group of spherical rollers. Due to the center of spherical
raceway of outer ring which is coinciding with the center of
bearing, this makes it have a self-aligning capability. If there is
a deflection of the shaft or housing or misalignment of their axes,
it is automatically corrected the excessive force which is not
applied to bearings. Spherical roller bearing has a high load
carrying capacity for radial load and axial load in two directions.
Spherical roller bearing is especially suitable for carrying heavy
loads and impact loads, but this type of bearing permits a lower
limiting speed. The permissible aligning angle of the spherical
roller bearing working in normal conditions is 1°~2.5°. If bearings
of this type have seals, then this function would be reduced.
Spherical roller bearings are widely used in Steel Industry, Mining
& Construction, Papermaking Machinery, Wind Turbines,
Gearboxes, Electric Motors, Pumps & Compressors and Injection
Molding Machines, etc.
Multiple cage designs are available.
Spherical roller bearings with hardened steel cages deliver greater
fatigue strength, increased wear-resistance and tougher protection
against shock and acceleration.
Spherical roller bearings with brass cages provide extra strength
and durability in the most unrelenting conditions, including
extreme shock and vibration, high acceleration forces and minimal
lubrication.
Spherical roller bearings are available with a cylindrical bore for
cylindrical type mounting, a tapered bore for tapered type
mounting. To order tapered bore spherical roller bearing, add the
suffix K ( 1:*2 ) or K*0 ( 1:*0 ) to bearing number (e.g., ****2K,
****2CAK*0).
An oil groove and holes are provided in the outer ring to supply
lubricant and the bearing numbers are suffixed W*3.
