The inverter, also known as power regulator,
can be divided into two types (one for independent power supply and
the other for grid connection) as per its purpose in PV power
generation system, and can be distributed into square-wave,
step-wave, sine-wave and combined three-phase inverters as per the
modulation system of waveform. For the inverter used in the
grid-connected system, it can be divided into transformer-type
inverter and transformer-free one as per whether there is a
transformer.
