Fused mullite is smelted in the electric arc furnace, with the industrial alumina and high-purity quartz sand as the main raw material,in the needle-shaped crystal structure.It is characterized by good thermal shock stability, large breaking strength, high refractoriness under load, large hardness, small high temperature creep and so on. It is widely used in refractories, glass kiln lining bricks, mullite bricks, large-scale blast furnace bricks, blast furnace low-creep sillimanite bricks, ceramic kilns, saggars, refractory slabs, petrochemical and other industries.
