Standard: API Spec 5L
API Spec 5L specifies requirements for the manufacture of two
product specification levels (PSL 1 and PSL 2) of seamless pipe and
welded steel pipes. This standard covers the steel pipes made from
different manufacturing process like seamless steel pipe, Electric
Resistance Welded (ERW) steel pipe, Longitudinal Seam Submerged Arc
Welding (LSAW) pipe and Spiral Submerged-Arc welding (SSAW)
pipes.
Application of API 5L X*5 PSL1/PSL 2 LSAW Carbon Steel Pipe:
API 5L X*5 PSL1/PSL2 LSAW Carbon Steel Pipe is usually used in
projects of oil and gas pipeline, in submarine pipeline, pipelines
through high-altitude zones and dense urban areas.
