The working principle of centrifugal filter is to separate the sand and other heavy impurities from the water with the centrifugal force generated by high-velocity flow, and so the centrifugal filter can be mainly applied for the preliminary filtering of water flow with sand. It is made by welding the steel plates, and composed of two parts: the upper centrifugal shell and lower sand collection tank. If it is used to filter sand impurity of larger than **0 meshes, the separation effect can reach about *5%, and the head loss is within 3.**7.7m. If the water contains some organics or impurities lighter than the water, the separation effect will be very low. Under unstable water flow, i.e. the period between the commence and termination of pumping, the filter effect is unsatisfying, therefore the centrifugal filter shall be used in combination with screen filter.
