Osthole is extracted from the seeds of Cnidium cnidii, which
has bactericidal and insecticidal activities. The antibacterial
mechanism of osthole is that it affects the growth of fungal cell
wall and leads to a large number of mycelia fracture, while
inhibiting the growth of fungal mycelia. The mechanism of
insecticidal action is to act on the nervous system of insect
pests, leading to non-functional contraction of insect muscles, and
eventually to collapse and death.
The product is certificated as Organic Inputs so can be used for
organic farming.
