by cross-linking pentaerythritol and acrylic acid. It is a very

is a polymer of acrylic acid bonded with allyl sucrose or
pentaerythritol allyl ether. Calculated on the dry basis, the
carboxylic acid group (-COOH) should be *6.0% to
*8.0%.
Carbomer **0
is a white loose powder. It has thickening properties, high
transparency, high viscosity, strong suspension ability, short
rheology and thixotropy, and low resistance to ion shear stress.
