Multimedia Research Lab Sdn. Bhd (Mlabs) was born following the success of a software development project that began in ***2 in Universiti Sains Malaysia. On *8 July ***7 MLabs was incorporated as a Private Limited Company in Malaysia to carry out ongoing research, development and marketing activities for this software. The company was listed in Bursa Malaysia under MESDAQ counter in August ***5. Multimedia Conferencing System (MCS) is substantially less expensive and more flexible than any other similar system currently available in the market. Since its commercial debut in ***6, MCS has reached milestones such as winning PIKOMS's IT Product of the Year ***9 and receiving "patent pending" status from the US Patent and Trademark Office in ***0. MLabs was also a winner of a Merit Award presented at the APMITTA Awards of ***0 in March ***1.
