Basic overview

 

The chemical molecular formula of aluminum sol is a (Al2O3 · nH2O) · BHX · CH2O, in which Al2O3 · nH2O is hydrated alumina, HX is glue solvent, and the coefficients are B < A, C and n.

Its appearance is translucent to transparent viscous colloid. The microstructure of colloidal particles is feathery, positively charged, odorless, nonvolatile and nonflammable. Activated alumina or high-purity alumina is generated after high-temperature dehydration.

Application

 

It can be widely used in petrochemical catalysts, forming adhesives for high temperature resistant and refractory materials such as aluminum silicate fibers and ceramics, additives for ceramic enamel glaze, antistatic agents for flocking and electrostatic flocking, film-forming agents and antistatic agents for textile and fiber treatment, cast alumina castables, emulsifiers and stabilizers for pigments and coatings, photo paper surface treatment agents. It can also be used in inorganic fiber, activated alumina, high-purity alumina, enamel, daily necessities, papermaking and other industries.  

1、Using the adhesion, film-forming and wear resistance of aluminum sol, it can be used as an adhesive for inorganic fibers such as glass fiber, asbestos and ceramic fiber.

2、Ceramic paper can be made from aluminum sol and silica gel fiber

3、By mixing aluminum sol with refractory powder or inorganic fiber, it can be made into heat-resistant coating material with any viscosity, pouring mold refractory and spraying material.

4、It can be added to the manufacturing of ceramic appliances, which will not reduce the new fire resistance of raw materials, but also increase the green strength, and can be made into various ceramic products

5、In textile fiber, it can increase smoothness, improve impact resistance and wear resistance

6、It can be used in the paper industry to improve the smoothness, whiteness and humidity resistance of paper. It can also be used as an adhesive for processing paper surface treatment
