Principle of Emission Reduction of Diesel

diesel exhaust treatment fluid is an essential reducing agent
for SCR systems. SCR is an exhaust gas post-treatment
technology. It uses diesel exhaust treatment fluid to treat
nitrogen oxides in the exhaust gas and then discharges them.
Urea and water are in an appropriate ratio (usually *2.5 %) and
inject into the exhaust gas discharged from the diesel engine
to reduce the NOX in the exhaust gas to harmless N2 (nitrogen)
and H2O (water vapor)
