Waterproofing bituminous membrane (Isogam) is obtained by
double-sided application of a bitumen-polymer binder,
consisting of bitumen, a polymer modifier and a filler, on a
polyester base, followed by the application of protective
layers on both sides of the web. To modify bitumen, SBS
(styrene-butadiene-styrene) and APP (atactic polypropylene)
are used. Aluminum foil, coarsegrained
dressing (slate) or polymer film are used as protective
layers.
Thus, our polymer-bitumen membranes are a multilayer composite
material with a thickness of 2,5
to 5 mm, consisting of bitumen modified with polymers (SBS,
APP) and reinforced with glass fiber or polyester.
