1. Introduction of Cardamom in Vietnam

Cardamom is belong to the Zingiberaceae family. In the world, there are two main kinds of cardamom: Green Cardamom (Elettaria Cardamomum) and Black Cardamom (Amomum Cardamom).

In Vietnam, there is only Black Cardamom, mainly planted in Hoang Lien Son chain of mountains which is in the northwest of Vietnam such as Lai Chau, Ha Giang, Lao Cai and now trial-planted in Kontum.

2. Product Specification

- The standardsensory

+ Color: dark brown, there are no signs of white mold spots on the surface.

+ Shape:long oval, stretching all, grooved and edge moldings. Shell strong, tough, no wrinkles or cracks dented, no stems, no trace of injury.

+ Size: homogeneous, 2 - 5 cm length, diameter 1.5 to 2.5 cm.

- Chemical Standards

+ Moisure: ****6% max

+ Oil content: 1.8 – 2.3 %

+ Ash degree: 5% max

+ Admixture: 1.5% max

+ Aflatoxin (B1, and other): *5ppm max

3. Supplying Ability: *0 - *0 tons per month.

4. Packing: *5kg or *0kg in PP/PE bag or as customer’s requirements.
