Carbon molecular sieve is a kind of porous material in black solid columnar particle shape. It contains a large number of micropores with a diameter of 4 angstrom. The micropores have a strong instantaneous affinity for oxygen molecules, and can adsorb oxygen molecules from the air and enrich nitrogen at ambient temperature under pressure swing condition.Therefore, it becomes the most preferred adsorbent for pressure swing adsorption (PSA) nitrogen generation.
